Mission and Vision of Eagle Heights Presbyterian Church

Our Beliefs

We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America.

We have an unequivocal commitment to the authority, inspiration, inerrancy, and sufficiency of Holy Scripture, as found in the Old & New Testaments, and believe that the sovereign, Triune God is the creator and providential ruler of all.

We believe in salvation through grace alone, by faith alone, and in Christ alone.

We are a body of believers, under the headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, who love God's Word, who embrace sound Reformed theology and the historic Westminster Standards, and who have a zeal for lost souls. Sinners created in the image of God and saved by grace in the gospel of Jesus Christ, who increasingly find our joy in living for the glory of God.

Our Vision

By His grace and for His glory, we are committed continually to growing in our love for and relationship with Jesus Christ, and to being God's hands, feet, and voice in bringing persons to a saving relationship with Him among the diverse communities in the greater Winchester area and around the world.

Our Mission

By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are committed to discipling our fellowship of believers through preaching the pure gospel of Jesus Christ, through prayer and worship, in administration of the Sacraments, by sound teaching, in small groups, by mentoring one-on-one, and through strong programs for all ages and other fellowship groups.

As a house of prayer, we are committed to the Great Commission by individually and corporately becoming fervent in prayer for evangelism, ministries of mercy, the oppressed, church planting, and global missions.

We are committed to reaching students and faculty at local universities, colleges, and schools with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are committed to guarding and strengthening the Biblical family, while ministering to the widowed, the orphaned, the divorced, the separated, and the unwed parent.

We are committed to becoming known as a welcoming Christian fellowship that loves one another and seeks to share Christ's love, in His Name, serving the hungry, the homeless, the incarcerated, and the unborn, as well as others in need both within and outside our congregation.

We are committed to financially supporting missionaries and local missions with a significant percentage of our annual budget.

We are committed to establishing a permanent worship center in the greater Winchester area.

We are committed to being a congregation that plants new churches.
